What the PTM is

The Mineral Traceability Platform (PTM) belongs to Colombia's National Mining Agency (ANM). It was created by ANM Resolution 759 of October 28, 2024 (opens in a new tab). Purchases, sales, transformations and exports of minerals are recorded in it through an OTTM.

The PTM records transactions, not the transport of the mineral. Each recorded transaction receives an acceptance code from the authority.

What evidence your Colombian supplier can share

Ask your Colombian supplier for MinTrace evidence. For each sale recorded in MinTrace, your supplier has:

  • The sale record

, with the currency, the exchange rate and the buyer details for international sales.

  • A PDF certificate

    Of the transaction.

  • The acceptance code

Returned by the PTM, stored with the transaction and its supporting documents.

How do I get MinTrace evidence as a buyer outside Colombia?
