Earth observation for territorial context
This is a CuantaIA research line, not a MinTrace feature. It combines open Sentinel-2 imagery from the European Space Agency’s Copernicus programme with NASA POWER daily climate series since 1981, to follow land-cover change, removed soil, mining fronts outside titled areas, and water and climate risk.
Guardian protects the MinTrace infrastructure
Guardian is a CUANTICO research initiative: a security operations center run by AI agents. It protects the MinTrace computing infrastructure 24/7 today, and actions that may affect operations require human approval.
CuantaIA, the CUANTICO research group
CuantaIA is CUANTICO's applied research group on artificial intelligence for society, a research group recognized by MinCiencias, Colombia's Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. It was founded in 2022 and has researchers in Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena, Manizales, the United States and Spain.

Does MinTrace include artificial intelligence?
Not as a product feature. MinTrace records, verifies and reports transactions to the PTM and keeps the data in order, with evidence. Predictive models, AI agents and business intelligence are CUANTICO AI services built on that data as a project.
